Good afternoon Effort. I hope you had a great holiday week. We are
preparing to enter our missions madness portion of the summer and I am
looking forward to see how God uses our Effort family. Stephen and the
youth are departing for North Carolina to do some hurricane relief work
through Mission Serve.
Impact, VA will be once again descending upon Fluvanna on Monday. Over
90 students will spend the week here working on 7 home repair projects
across the county. Effort is working in conjunction with Habitat and
several other area churches to make this happen. A special thanks to
Mike and Lisa Himes who are serving as the coordinators for this trip
and all the people who are serving as crew leaders, providing lunches,
and helping out. I am also grateful to you, church, because without your
participation in Chili Night and giving towards missions, projects like
this would not be possible.
Finally, our Haiti team is gearing up to depart on July 22nd to work at
the Source of Light orphanage in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. They’ll be
conducting a VBS and hosting a teacher’s conference while there.
Please lift up all of these teams in prayer and ask that God uses them
in a powerful way to show the communities in which they are serving the
reality of God’s love and care.

Our next fun filled event is coming up! On July 21st from 7:00 –
9:00PM we’re having a Game Night Fellowship in the Children’s Chapel of
the Family Life Center. This is a great opportunity to bring a friend
out to Effort for a fun evening of games and fellowship.
