Good afternoon. Please continue to join me in prayer for those affected by the many tragic events we are seeing around our world. We pray for those affected by Harvey, for those already hit and those in the path of Irma and Katia. We also lift up our prayers for all of our brothers and sisters recovering from the 8.1 magnitude earthquake in Mexico. All of this can seem overwhelming, yet it is in these moments when we must lean on the promises of God.
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.” Psalm 46:1-3
God is our refuge and strength and God wants to use you to provide refuge and help to those who are suffering. Thank you everyone who provided supplies that will go to Texas through our partnership with God’s Pit Crew. We have decided to extend our supply drive through next week to raise some support for the aftermath of Irma. You can bring cases of bottled water, individually wrapped toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, bar soap, wash cloths to church on Sunday or next week. We’ll distribute information about collection hours this Sunday. I also encourage you to keep up with Virginia Baptist disaster relief engagement here.

Glass Slipper Homecoming Dress Sale
