Good afternoon Effort family. I hope this finds you well. We’ve had a busy couple of weeks. Thank you to everyone who helped make the Fall BBQ such an amazing event! Also, we were excited about the baptisms of Trinity Haynes, Julie Haynes and Saige Cauffield this past Sunday.
Your church council met last night for our monthly meeting. These take place every third Thursday in the Fellowship/YaH room at 7pm. All are welcome.
Last night, Jenny Faulknier updated us on a great opportunity to help a former inmate reintegrate into society. We heard the story and Jenny’s vision for helping to provide places of protection for women and children. By God’s grace, we could allocate some funds to help in this situation. I love serving such a generous church!
We also met with our nominating chair to finalize those candidates to begin serving this year. There are still a few vacancies so if the nominating committee asks you to serve, please prayerfully consider saying yes. These committees provide the structure required for us to live out our calling as the people of God.
Finally, we talked about updating our directory. Our growth has rendered our former directory somewhat obsolete. While we are very excited about our growth, we still want everyone to stay connected so we are exploring options to create and release a new directory. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
