Good afternoon Effort family. I have really enjoyed the conversations over the past couple weeks about prayer and Bible reading. Sermons work best when they are the first word in a conversation and I’m glad that you have been reaching out and asking great questions. I’m also looking forward to diving into the story God is telling through the Bible and how we share it with others this weekend.
This week I want to talk for a moment about finances. I know what you’re thinking…but stick with me for a second. We’ve adopted an aggressive budget increase this year. We did this because we believe that God wants us to do more: provide more home repairs for our seniors, provide more meals through our missions partners, carry out more expansive mission work next summer, and to reach more people with the gospel of Jesus Christ. It’s going to be an exciting year.
The way we make this happen is simple. If every family in the church gives $20 more a month then we’ll be able to accomplish all of the above and more. The way I think about this is that $20 a month is roughly one Starbucks drink a week. You guys know how much I love coffee but that’s a pretty easy sacrifice to make. I challenge you to do the same. Together we can accomplish something incredible for God.

Upward Registration and Evaluations
