Good afternoon Effort family. I hope you are having a blessed 2018. Many exciting things are happening around the church as we enter this new year. Upward Basketball begins tomorrow. Please be in prayer for the 160+ kids who are participating. We want them to experience the presence of God through their interactions with us during this season. We are also looking for more volunteers to work concessions or manage the clock during games. Please contact me if you are interested.
Many of you may have seen the Facebook posts about a family in our community who was displaced by a fire this past week. Michele and Kevin Carter have done a wonderful job of showing Christ’s love this week by organizing relief efforts. While most of the pressing needs are met, please consider donating a gift card for Walmart or a restaurant in the Zion’s Crossroads area to help the family with food or daily needs that arise. You can drop them off at the church office. As always, continue to lift them in prayer.
