Good afternoon Effort family. One of the most fruitful spiritual exercises is reading my Bible. I love how it draws me deeper into the story of God’s work in the world. It reveals the beauty of God’s vision and dream for us. The scripture challenges me to examine my life and invite God in to bring me closer to Him.
I also remember opening the Bible early on in my faith walk and not having a clue what I was reading. I hear frequently hear similar comments from others so I’m always looking for resources that help people approach the scriptures with greater confidence. One of the best resources that I’ve found is called the Bible Project: The Bible Project. You’ll see a series of short videos that provide great insight into the themes and story of the Bible. I highly encourage you to take a look at the resources for yourself and to recommend to others.
