Effort Family,

Hello all. One of the most powerful images of the church is found in Isaiah 56:7, “My house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.” (ESV) It clearly shows God’s intent for the church at all times and also clarifies our mission during these times.

This verse is a good reminder that our first and best response to this crisis is to lift our voices to God. In obedience to God’s call, we have dedicated this Saturday, March 28th, as a day of prayer. For 24 hours, our congregation will join together (virtually) to pray.

Here’s how it works. Click on the link below and sign up for one (or more) 15-minute blocks of time to pray. There are many ways that you can pray during this time:

– We’ll provide the church prayer list and you can lift up the names to God.

– You can spend time listening for God’s direction for our church and share what you hear.

– Reading scripture aloud is a fantastic way to pray. Your family could take turns reading through a passage of scripture during this time. There are a list of some Psalms to get you started on the sign-up page.

I’ll post a video with more guidance about this tomorrow. We’ll also send out the most up-to-date prayer list prior to the beginning of our day of prayer. For now, follow the link and sign up. In fact, now is a great time to click!

Grace & Peace,
