Good afternoon Effort Family,

Today, I’m asking for you to sign up to be a part of a discussion group later in the month through this link: CLICK HERE ( . In these groups, you’ll get to experience an uplifting and fun conversation that focuses on the best of what makes us Effort. Here’s why this is so important right now.

As the world shifts around us it is important to stay grounded in the identity given to you by God. That’s true for individuals and for churches. Every now and then it’s good to remind ourselves of the story that God has written and is writing through our church. In other words, to think about the places where God has truly blessed you and the community through Effort.

It’s important to remember that telling this story is not something that staff and/or council could or should do on their own. This is the work of the entire congregation. We need you!

Here’s how it works. We’ll gather in small groups of 6-10 for about 90 minutes to answer some questions and tell some stories about our church and explore what that means about us. Once all of the groups have met, we’ll gather as a church to both celebrate God’s story through Effort and share what we’ve learned.

Here are a few of the questions to get you thinking and give you a taste of what these conversations will be like:

Tell us a story from Effort’s history about…
* Someone you’d consider a hero of the faith.
* A time when you were most proud of your church.
* When you realized that you’d found your people.

Please sign up today so that we can start organizing these groups. If you have any questions, I’d love to talk with you.

Grace & Peace,
