The Communicator
This is Sims Wright. As Matt mentioned in his Pulse on 7/9, I have been given a part in communications about our transition process from Pastor Ben to whoever it is that the Lord has planned for us. Why me? Because I kept asking about communication. Be careful what you ask for.
What will I be communicating? Mainly whatever I learn about plans and progress. I don’t expect to limit myself to just the Pastor search process but to those things that the Staff and Council are planning/doing during the transition.
Am I the only source? Of course not. You are encouraged to query the Staff (pastors@effortchurch.org) or the Council (councilchair@effortchurch.org) or the Deacons (deaconchair@effortchurch.org). But if you find out something interesting or you would like me to ask someone, send me a note at pwright2@gmail.com and I will post what I find out here. Most especially, if you hear rumors, let me chase them down.
How will I communicate? I plan to use a blog on the website. You are getting this one as a Church Life email because you need to know the blog exists in order to look there. You will probably get the second one this way also. But because there are those who don’t like to be inundated with emails, after that you will need to go look.
