This is an update to my previously published note about the meeting of Church Council with the representative of Center for Healthy Churches concerning our pastor search process. Previous information in blue. Updates in black.
On 9/12/2021 Council had its kickoff meeting with our facilitator from the Center for Healthy Churches, Dr. Randy Ashcraft.
Dr. Ashcraft will be our facilitator throughout the process.
We will be hosting three congregational discussions, to capture information related to our Past, Present and Future as a church.
At these meetings, anyone can come/participate. There will be tables with designated leaders to record discussion at each table. Questions will be presented for discussion. Answers will be compiled and used to generate a church profile. (This sounds very similar to the process used by the Transition Team when Pastor David left.)
This will be captured in our church profile as part of the search process.
The church profile is a multipage document covering church history, beliefs, and vision to provide prospective applicants a view of where they are considering serving.
Once this is done (January?), the Council will appoint a Search Committee which will begin receiving applications for the Senior Pastor position.
More details about participation will follow, but these are the dates and times:

12/4, 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM
