BREATHE ~ EFFORT’S WOMEN’S MINISTRY
Come join real women who want to leave expectations behind, comparisons in the corner, and insecurities on the sidelines. Breathe is a safe place for women to share, laugh, grow, and just be real. With each exhale, we can let go of the world’s expectations and inhale the confidence that comes from knowing Christ. We come together to Breathe.
Women’s Bible Study, Redeemed by Angela Thomas-Pharr.

6:30-8:00 PM … led by Deb Hall, Sanctuary – Fellowship Room
Starts Sepember 15. Cost is $20
The moment you accept Jesus as the Lord over your life, you are redeemed. As the redeemed, we experience a lifelong journey of being transformed into HIs image. As redeemed women, we grow in the grace of Christ, and He calls us to extend grace to others.
In this 7-session Bible study, Angela Thomas-Pharr explores the practical side of redemption, inviting us to lean upon Jesus for our real help and hope.
If schools are ever closed or delayed due to bad weather on a class day, the class will be rescheduled for the following week.

Thursday 6:30-8:00 PM – Men’s Ministry – FLC Cafe
Ask any guy if he wants to be in a “band of brothers.” The answer is almost always yes. He wants to be accepted, admired, and protected by men he accepts, admires, and protects. Acceptance: in spite of his shortcomings. Admiration: of each other’s complementary strengths. Protection: as we look out for each other and watch each other’s backs.
The idea of community is appealing. It’s fear that prevents guys from jumping in, and men have very different fears. Some fear possible exposure of something they want to hide. Some fear that the cost of community (time, competing interests) outweighs the benefits. This is a group that cuts through those fears and explores what it means to be a part of something and what it means to be a Godly man in today’s world.

Wednesday, 6:30-8:00 PM … Children’s Bible Study: FLC Children’s Chapel
We have a gathering of senior (50+) adults every Thursday at 11:30 AM in the Fellowship Room of the Sanctuary for Bible study, regular fellowship, and mission and ministry in our community. It is a great way for senior adults to remain connected to Effort as a community.
Prayer Ministry Groups
On Monday evenings, from 7:00-9:00 PM, we meet in the Sanctuary for a time of corporate praise and prayer. A Praise Team leads us in unplugged, intimate worship from 7:00-7:30 PM, and then we create a prayer circle and address needs of individuals and the church. Child care is provided if we know of your need in advance! Call church office.
Daily Morning Prayer
Weekday mornings, Monday through Friday, members of the Prayer Team meet in the Fellowship Room of the Sanctuary from 6:00-8:00 AM. The small outside door to the right of the glass doors facing the FLC leads directly into the Chapel. If you need special prayer for a challenging circumstance in your life, a health problem, or to intercede for a family member, we will be happy to pray for you. Or, come and join the Prayer Team. We are praying for the needs of our church, community, nation and world. We welcome anyone who would like to join us.
“We can never expect to grow in the likeness of our Lord unless we follow His example and give more time to communion with the Father. A revival of real praying would produce a spiritual revolution.”
Every Saturday and Sunday, members of the Prayer team gather in the Fellowship Room of the Sanctuary from 8:00-9:00 AM. (on Saturdays, we are sometimes there until later) to prepare hearts for our worship services and to pray specifically for our Church Leadership. We welcome anyone from the community who wants to come by for prayer — for healing, for help with life’s circumstances, and to intercede for others. The outside door to the Fellowship Room will be open, and all are welcome to join us.
