What to Expect

What to Expect

If I attend a service at Effort, what can I expect?

At Effort, it’s our goal to create a welcoming, authentic environment where you can connect with God and connect with people.  We promise not to hijack your spiritual journey;  it’s faith at your pace.  Whether you have questions, or simply want to listen, you will be respected and accepted just as you are.

You and your entire family are welcome to experience church on your terms.  The time we spend together as a community is exciting and energetic, meaningful and deliberate, often humorous, and always relevant.

What will my child experience?

Kids at Effort have a BLAST learning about Jesus! On Sunday mornings, children from birth-12th grade experience the Bible in creative and relevant ways,  and always in age-appropriate environments where they can feel safe.

What should I wear?

Dress casually and comfortably, in whatever way you like. Please come as you are.  God wants to engage with you, whether you come in shorts and sandals or a three-piece suit!

Where do I go when I arrive?

At the 9:30 service in the Sanctuary (the building with the steeple), you’ll find all sorts of snacks and refreshments in the lobby, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by our greeters.

At the 11:00 service in the FLC (the Family Life Center, the largest, rectangular building in the lower lot), you’ll be welcomed by our friendly greeters who will hand you a Connect Card, help you through our child care check-in process in the the lobby (if you have children), and direct you to our café setup (if you care for a complimentary refreshment, espresso, coffee, or tea beverage).
