About Kelsey…

My family moved to Fluvanna when I was a wee-little one year old and we have attended Effort ever since (following in my grandparents’ footsteps, they have good taste).  Growing up I participated in Kids on Mission, volunteered in the nursery, and led groups at VBS.  I went on two mission trips to Haiti before I graduated from Fluvanna County High School in 2017.  After high school I attended James Madison University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Justice Studies and Political Science in 2021.  I have aspirations of going to law school and am currently working at a law firm in town.

I hope to help get the youth more engaged with the church body and community as a whole.  My prayer is to help create a lasting network of discipling disciples equipped to go out into their schools, neighborhoods, homes, etc. and share the word and love of the Lord wherever they go.

My favorite bible verse is Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” My spiritual gift is faith.  This verse has always spoken to me because without faith we have no hope.
