Recovery
Effort has seasonal recovery classes that offer face to face support for hurting
people to find out they are not alone as they work through difficult issues and
situations.
These classes include:
Making Peace with your Past - This
support-group study offers practical, biblically based guidance to lead adults to
identify, understand, and come to terms with the feelings and problems of growing
up in a dysfunctional family. This group will help you understand problems from
the past and identify and remove emotional, psychological, and spiritual barriers
to fellowship with God.
Conquering Codependency - A
Christ centered process that helps you recognize the painful problems of
codependency, the compulsion to fix everyone and everything. It offers sound
Biblical strategies that give hope, and promise healing from the damage
codependency can do to your life.
Shelter from the Storm - This course will
help you to understand yourself. You will learn to identify the destructive
patterns which began with sexual abuse and have been intensified by other
influences and choices in your life. As you identify these harmful patterns, you
will be able to make Christ-honoring and life-enhancing changes. It will help you
learn how you can experience God's love, forgiveness and power in all of life's
circumstances.
Search for Significance -
This course will enable you to base your self-worth on the love, acceptance and
forgiveness of Jesus Christ and not on the world's standards, such as the
approval of others or the ability to succeed at certain tasks.
