Preschool

Preschool

Our preschool programs operate from 8:20am to 3:00pm M-F, with options for all day, half-day, part-time and extended care. We offer year-round, seasonal (10 months), and summer only (2 months) preschool programs.

Our Curriculum

Our preschool curriculum is designed to help children learn good social skills and to stimulate their intellectual abilities, preparing them for kindergarten. We provide children with a variety of toys, materials, and activities to foster their creativity and practice problem-solving skills. Our teachers communicate and listen carefully to children’s responses. Small class sizes allow us to provide lots of individual care and attention. We understand that each child is unique and develops at his or her own pace.

Children in our preschool program learn about biblical principles. They learn to respect others, appreciate the world in which they live, and establish self-confidence. Our preschool provides a strong foundation on which to build their academic and spiritual future.

our Programs

2-year-olds

The program for our youngest students focuses on learning through play. The alphabet, colors, and shapes are introduced through hands-on activities and crafts. At this age, there is an added focus on social and emotional development. This class is a great first step into preschool as it gives children a chance to learn transitioning and to develop self-help skills in a loving and nurturing environment. Your child does not need to be potty-trained for this class.

3-year-olds

This program is geared toward children who will be three before September 30 of the present school year. Our three-year-old program focuses on colors and shapes, in addition to the alphabet. Self-help skills such as learning to share, following directions, and coping well with separation from family are emphasized in this class as to prepare a student for pre-K. This class is offered as a full-day or half-day program, with the choice of attending two, three, or five days a week.

K4

Our K4 program is geared toward children who will be four before September 30 of the present school year. This class focuses on pre-K skills such as solid oral language, the ability to listen, a desire for independence, and an ability to play well with others. Academically, our K4’s use the Abeka phonics curriculum, which focuses on basic letter recognition, sounds, and early literacy. As the letters are introduced, the sound will be emphasized. There is a focus on fine motor skills through pre-writing and art activities. This class is offered as a full-day or half-day program, with the choice of attending two, three, or five days a week.
