Making Space For God

Mar 11, 2015    Matt O'Rear

How many days did God take to create the world and all within it? 7 days, that's right! Good answer. As a side note, we know that God used the last day to rest. With that being said, how many days did God take to instruct Moses about the Tabernacle in the book of Exodus?

40 days!

So we can all interpret that in different ways, but one way to look at it is a simple one - God placed importance in us building a place for him, a place to dwell among us.

If God placed so much importance in building him a dwelling place, it seems we should listen, and take that to heart.

God wants to dwell among us and in us, in the place we have set aside for him in our hearts. The question is, are we? I know I certainly have room to improve when it comes making room for God in my life.

So I encourage you to "win the first battle of the day"...

Before you check your email or turn on SportsCenter or the news, take 10 minutes to read some scripture and spend some time in prayer. Start your day off by making some room for Him.
