Good afternoon EBC folks. I was reading through 2nd Corinthians again this past week and the first chapter spoke to me in a powerful way. Paul writes, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble…” 2 Cor. 1:3-4 ESV. It’s an amazing reminder that God answers our prayers so that we can be an answer to prayer for someone else. Advent is the perfect time to ask yourself how God is asking you to be a blessing to others.
As a church, you guys have already done an amazing thing this Christmas season. We put out a request to you to take an angel tree gift request form and provide gifts to impact a family with the love of the gospel. Not only did you take all of the angels but we also received extra monetary donations to bless these families even further. Thank you for being ambassadors of God’s comfort and peace! These gifts are due back this Sunday, Dec. 8th.
There’s another opportunity for you. We would love your help with delivering these angel tree gifts. If you are interested there is a mandatory training on Sunday, Dec. 15th in the Sanctuary Fellowship room immediately following church. God is changing Fluvanna one family at a time. . .be a part of it!
