Good afternoon, church. I’ve been blessed to see so many within our church community answering God”s call during this unique season. People have stepped up to serve in new leadership roles while others are doing amazing work in staying connected through calls, notes and emails.
It’s been particularly exciting to work with the church council. You may know Council and staff are meeting weekly to seek after God’s guidance in order to lead the church to these times. This meeting takes place on Thursday evenings at 7pm and is open to the church. We had some issues last night with the link that was sent out earlier in the week. My apologies if that did not work for you. Our tech team is looking into it and will send out an updated link next week.
For those who missed it, we reviewed God’s work in and through our community over the past month and talked about the financial health of Effort. God has blessed us with a dramatic increase in attendance and professions of faith. I’m also happy to report that we’re doing pretty good overall financially. Your continued faithful giving and the great work of our administrative staff and Finance Committee has placed us in a strong position to thrive over the next couple of months. We are praying in the confidence that God will provide and also planning responsibility as stewards of the resources with which we’ve been blessed. We remain committed to providing transparency for how the financial process works so, if you have any questions please contact our administrator, Jason.
