Good Afternoon Effort Family!

A Message From Dave Ahearn:

The Building and Grounds (B&G) Committee has been re-established and approved by our church Council, under the capable leadership of Ed Drake. He is currently finalizing the composition of his committee. Mary Edwards, a college-trained landscape architect, and Doni Ahearn, a master gardener, have graciously agreed to serve on the B&G. Already, Ed, Mary, Doni, and Jason Bird, Effort Church Administrator, have conducted a terrain walk for campus familiarity and to assess needed immediate outside needed improvements.

I am the church Council’s liaison to B&G, so if you have suggestions, feel free to send them to me and I will get them to Ed.

A Message From Ed Drake:

Effort Building and Grounds is scheduling two workdays concentrating on cleaning up the hill located near the new traffic circle. Lower branches will be removed from the trees and hauled away and the tall grass mowed. Also, there are a couple of dead trees that need to be removed as well.

The Sanctuary and the FLC will be power-washed, weather permitting, and we will be cleaning up the grounds around the buildings, then adding fresh mulch as needed.

Any and all help would be welcomed and appreciated. The buildings and grounds need a fresh look. Palm Sunday is approaching and the Building and Grounds Committee would like to improve Effort’s appearance not only for our own members but for visitors that will be attending our Easter services.

Workdays are Saturday, March 6th, and Saturday, March 20th, 8:30 am to 12:30 pm

Bring Gloves and appropriate landscaping tools for raking and spreading of mulch if you have them.
