Rocky Railway VBS
June 21 – 25. Kindergarten to 4th graders! Climb aboard for mountains of fun at Rocky Railway! Games, snacks, music, crafts, and videos all created to have fun and learn about Jesus! On this faith-filled adventure, kids discover that trusting Jesus pulls them through life’s ups and downs.
Would you like to join a fun-filled rocky railway adventure that can make an eternal impact? We have opportunities for people to lead age groups from K-4th grades, from crafts, games, sharing Bible stories, or providing support to leaders. We also have opportunities to work behind the scenes in the tech booth and other ways to make an impact! Update from the Finance Committee
Even though giving is below budget at this time, God has blessed us with responsible stewardship by our staff. One example being the delay, for now, of deferred maintenance projects for which $50k was budgeted. Other budgeted expenditures have been delayed as well so that God’s work, through our ministries and missions, can go on unaffected. God has led some to contribute with additional, generous, giving. Deferred maintenance, delayed expenditures and postponed projects can be reconsidered when, and if, giving catches up. Our prayer is that they can be restored. The congregation can rest easy knowing that EBC financials are stable during this trying time of pandemic challenges. “The Lord is our shepherd, we shall not want.” (Psalm 23:1). Lord, we thank You in advance for fully funding the needs of our church body.

Easing of Covid Restrictions
We’re excited to announce that Church Council voted to begin easing COVID restrictions. Beginning on June 1st, masks are optional for Sunday morning worship services and on campus small groups. The exception is that masks will still be required while working with children.
Please note that this begins on June 1st so will not apply this Sunday, May 30th.
We are eager to see what God has in store for us during this next season.
Approved Council Motion:
“Trusting in our congregation to love each other well (Romans 15:5-7), Effort Baptist Church will adopt the following timeline and guidance for exiting from our COVID-19 operational protocols.
Beginning June 1st, following CDC guidance, masks will be encouraged, but not required, in Sunday morning worship services, in small groups, and in the office. With the exception of the worship service, masks are still required when working with or in the presence of children.
Beginning July 1st, additional COVID protocols (social distancing, etc.) for Sunday morning worship services, in small groups, and in the office, will be lifted.
School operations will be handled as a separate motion and are not affected by this change at this time.
This timeline may be accelerated or decelerated by council vote, dependent on new/changing CDC/state guidance or as deemed necessary by council.”
