Today was session #3 of the Congregational Conversations in support of the Pastor search by Center for Healthy Churches. It included a brief review of the data from session #2 and a series of questions concerning characteristics of the Pastor that we think we need.
The accompanying slide show was presented. Slides 1-10 are prefacing material. Slides 11-24 show the session #2 data. Slides 25-28 are the questions we were asked to answer for this session. The slideshow will advance every 30 seconds but you can press the spacebar to advance it more quickly. And the control bar at the bottom of each slide will allow you to move backwards and forwards.
Below is the form which we filled out at session #3. You can print it and return it to church in the next week to have your thoughts included in the Church Profile.

Next steps involve Council creating a search committee and actually beginning the search. As reported in The Communicator for the Council meeting of 11/11/2021:
— A procedure for selection of members of a Pastor Search Committee was presented. There are to be 8 Congregant members, ideally with diverse perspectives. They will be identified by 21 November and to be approved by the first Council meeting in December. Plan was approved by unanimous vote.
